I was thinking about the sites I’ve been to during the course of my internettin’ and one of the things I notice more than anything is the shiny bright bubblyness of many sites these days. Now, I’ll be honest: I like it generally.
The only thing is, when it comes to sites that are designed to display the works of others, it seemed to me that the shiny, glossy, designitude gets in the way of the content. I made it a point to tone down the colors of the site, to spotlight the work of our members. Hopefully, this works the way I intended… otherwise, I’ll be doing some serious re-design…
